Minimum requirements:
Boxes – I like the ones from Lowes
Why: The books don’t fly to Amazon by themselves, get good boxes. Don’t mess around trying to salvage boxes around the house. Your items need to arrive in Amazons hands in one piece.

Shipping Tape
Why: Should be self explanatory, the boxes need tape to secure them.

Barcode labels
Why: Amazon requires that you label your products with FNSKU labeled barcodes. The barcode identifies you, the seller, the book itself, the price and condition. If you don’t label your books Amazon will charge you a fee per book that they receive without labels. I recommend labeling yourself to avoid the fee.

Barcode label printer
Why: You need a label printer to print out the barcode labels.

Shipping Labels
Why: You need to identify to UPS where your box of books are going.

Shipping label printer
Why: You need a shipping label printer to print the shipping labels. Can you print a label on a blank sheet of paper and tape over the paper? Of course, but let’s be professional.

A USB barcode scanner to scan the books into Amazon’s database while listing your items
Why: You need to scan the barcode of your book into Accelerlist/Amazon Seller Central/or whatever listing platform you choose to use. This VASTLY speeds up the listing process.

Shipping/Packing Paper
Why: You don’t want your valuable items being thrown about in your box. You really should pack your items so they don’t move or don’t move much in your shipping box. Packing paper is cheap insurance

More Advanced Recommendations
An inexpensive Tablet. If you have one laying around the house, thats great. Use that, otherwise this one will work fine.
Why: I strictly use an old tablet I have for when I list items on Amazon. I scan the item with my listing software and the scouting software. It gives me a better idea of what to price the item at, its just what I do because it works for me. I find it the most efficient way.

A stand to hold the tablet
Why: Better line of sight when scanning the book with the listing software

An additional USB Scanner
Why: For this secondary scan you need a second USB scanner.

Industrial Shipping Tape Dispenser for Gummed/Glue Tape
Why: This is not needed for beginners. I just find it much more secure and more professional. Instead of the clear tape I linked under minimum recommendations I use a gummed tape adhesive and industrial dispenser.

Gummed Tape
Why: I use the industrial reinforced tape in combination with the Shippping Tape Dispenser. Again, not needed for beginners.

Rubber bands
Why: Sometimes you will come across a valuable item you want to resell that is a multi-pack, for example a box set of books or DVDs. You want to be able to secure the items somehow. I use rubber bands and clear poly bags.

Clear Poly bags
Why: Sometimes you will come across a valuable item you want to resell that is a multi-pack, for example a box set of books or DVDs. You want to be able to secure the items somehow. I use rubber bands and clear poly bags. Make sure the bags have a suffocation warning!

Do not separate stickers
Why: With multipack items intended to sell as 1 unit, you need to specify that to Amazon so they dont break open the package thinking they are supposed to be sold individually.

I have included affiliate links to the products I recommend, you don’t have to use them but I would appreciate it you did. Regardless, I think it’s good to help others and share information.
