Get to the sale early and wait in line. If it’s a big sale, do not show up when the sale opens or you will be hard pressed to have good results once you’re in the sale. Sometimes, the library will have so much interest in a sale they will not let everyone in due to fire codes. You really need to get to sales EARLY.
Have your book scanner fully charged. This should be pretty straight forward, make sure your bluetooth scanner is fully charged before you show up to the sale
Have your phone fully charged. This one as well, make sure you’re not walking in to a sale when your battery isn’t charged.
Link your scanner to your phone via bluetooth BEFORE the sale starts. You don’t want to be fumbling around in the sale connecting your scanner to your phone while other people are grabbing all of the good books.
Bring a tote, cart, bags or something to the book sale so they will hold your inventory. This is the one I use and recommend.
Most importantly, be courteous to the volunteers and to your fellow patrons. People can be aggressive at these sales. It reminds me how Black Friday Shopping was in years past. Please be kind and thankful.
